At the age of 82 General Francisco Franco died and with him the dictatorship in Spain, which lasted for 36 years. Although I wasn´t born yet, after 44 years I can still see the consequences that this had on politics and people. My grandparents help with this, reminding me of how great were the times in which he was alive, and how things would be better. But, apart from the swamps he supposedly built, it's really hard to focus on the good stuff when you compare it to the atrocity towards human rights he committed. So, to celebrate his death, which happened on this day, I created this project in which I try to turn this around and originate something beautiful and reivindicative adapted to the present moment, like Almodovar or McNamara did in their time, mainly taking the symbols that represented him and using them in a way that he would hate if he was alive.
